Turkey Trot 2022

Dear Fellow Rotarian,

As many of you know the Towsontowne Rotary has been an annual supporter of the Y in Central Maryland’s Charity 5K on Thanksgiving morning, specifically the Towson race.  This year I would like to give you and your businesses the opportunity to support the event as well.

The Turkey Trot is the largest fundraiser the Y in Central Maryland runs each.  In 2021 we raised nearly $700,000 which benefited children, teens and adults in central Maryland who need help affording Y programs that keep them safe, engaged and healthy.  In 2021 our traditional Turkey Trot returned in person and 12,747 people participated, 3,111 of them right here in Towson! This year we are anticipating over 3300 participants in Towson.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we learned how much support is needed in our communities to help one another survive through extremely tough times.  The money raised from Turkey Trot and other fundraising efforts allow the Y to continue to be able to help so many through our programs and services.

My team and I are working hard to increase the amount of money we raise to continue to support the programs and services that mean so much to so many throughout Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Hartford and Howard Counties.  This year our sponsorship goal is $47,000.
